Hey Film Folks!!

It's Easter Eve already! I'm shocked as to how quickly this year is flying by. It's the same every year though, isn't it? 'Yeah, it'll be Christmas before we know it!' blah blah blah.

As you can imagine, everyone at the SKFF is cramming work today, to avoid a tear-filled chocolatey weekend in the office.

SoundKILDA, St Kilda Film Festival's music video competition, is being prepared to blow minds once again with a program showcasing an eclectic range of videos from across Australia. A melodic night of surprises is on the horizon, so keep your eyes peeled and your ears open.

Details are being finalised for the Filmmaker Development Program to be held during the festival which will focus on concepts helpful to emerging and established filmmakers alike, including forums focused on: editing, actors-cum-directors, the latest technology, pitching, and animation, among others. If you are keen to know more, watch this space over the coming weeks (or go to the official website)!

Notification of Trivia Night (flyer below) has been sent out to Industry folks, but tickets are available for all film buffs who are keen to flex their cinematic-knowledge biceps (apologies for messy metaphor).

The puzzle pieces that make up the 'Blaze of Glory' are falling into place. 'But wait a second... What on earth is 'Blaze of Glory'?' Well, that's a good question. A brainchild of the SKFF team new to 2012, this will be a late-night session of movie-music videos, punctuated with laughs and moments of nostalgia. A good one for quizzical night owls.

Finally... A trailer is coming!
When? Where? How?
I've got no idea, but I've heard it will be very pretty.

I will inundate the blog with more info again in eleven-ish days.
Happy Easter!
